Odissi by Koushik Das
Odissi performances stood out on several counts. The way these artistes strove for excellence and precision both in expression and choreographic intricacies was commendable.
With an eye for detail, every aspect of the lyric was explored threadbare bringing out its multi-dimensional nuances well. Koushik Das performed ‘ Sritakamala ’ an Ashtapadi of Jayadev with verve. The descriptive shades of the composition stood well delineated in his remarkable presentation. Also, he presented ‘ Mokshya ’ a pure dance number involving complex choreographic patterns.
